Our Collection and Use of Your Personal Information

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) entitles California residents to certain disclosures before collection of their personal information. We must tell you the kinds of information we will collect from you and the business purposes for our collection of your personal information.

Categories of Information We Collect

National General Holding Corp. includes insurance companies, management and service companies and insurance agencies serving general and highly specialized markets. The information we collect about you is related to your qualifications for and continuing service as an agent or contractor for one or more of the National General companies and to ensure compliance with state and federal law.

We will collect what CCPA categorizes as "Identifiers," which include things like your name, email, address, SSN, etc. This category also includes identifiers that are associated with internet/online activity like IP address and cookies.

We will collect personal information that is considered "Protected Characteristics," which may include such information as your age, ancestry, national origin, marital status, sex, and gender.

We will collect information related to your background, including educational background, professional/work history and law enforcement and court records.

In some situations, we will collect "Biometric Information," which includes things like signatures, voice recordings, or information.

Additional categories of personal information we collect include Geolocation Data and Sensory Data.

How We Use Personal Information

The reasons we collect and use information about you are related to your qualifications for and continuing service as an agent or contractor for one or more of the National General companies.

We do not sell your information.

However, we disclose your information to our insurance companies, regulatory authorities with jurisdiction over our operations (such as, but not limited to, insurance departments) and clients who have a legal obligation to oversee the business operations of their vendors.
